Writers' Police Academy 2017
Share |

Registration for WPA will begin on February 19, 2017 at noon EST.  Linda Lovely, SinC member and WPA volunteer has given us detailed and specific advice about registering. Read what she has to say before you register!

Writers' Police Academy (WPA) will be held August 10-13, 2017 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. It is helmed by SinC member Lee Lofland and provides a rightly renowned hands-on interactive experience designed to help writers increase their understanding of all aspects of law enforcement and forensics.  For more detailed information on the Writers’ Police Academy, go to www.writerspoliceacademy.com

$150 discount for Sisters in Crime members who have never attended a WPA is available for 2017!

Visit www.writerspoliceacademy.com and start the registration process. The total cost is $395.00 but you will receive a $150 discount for just being a Sisters in Crime member. We depend on your honesty but we will be checking to make sure your membership has been renewed for 2016 and that you are a first time Writers’ Police Academy attendee.

WPA has a great website and you can add yourself to the mailing list from the homepage (we recommend this so that you won't miss your registration opportunity).

Still not sure and want to see more?  There are some great photos is Lee Lofland's WPA blog post here:  http://www.leelofland.com/wordpress/its-coming-the-fabulous-2016-writers-police-academy/

“If you write mystery or crime fiction, or romantic suspense, or anything where bad stuff happens, you need to know about police procedure and investigation, forensics, arson investigation, how PTSD affects law enforcement officers, emergency response teams, and all that stuff.”  -- Leslie Budewitz, Past President, Sisters in Crime
