Sisters in Crime is excited to announce a new sponsorship of United for Libraries: The Association of Library Trustees, Advocates, Friends and Foundations.  United for Libraries is bringing authors and libraries together in a unique partnership to connect authors with libraries, Friends of the Library groups, and library Foundations as well as to keep authors informed about issues and concerns affecting libraries on a national level.

United for Libraries has approximately 5,000 individual and group members who support libraries by raising money for them, governing them, and advocating for them. Our sponsorship will include individual author listings for every one of our members on the Authors for Libraries website (a $39 value). Many United for Libraries groups provide author programs for their libraries, and this sponsorship will also help match up authors for programs through Zip Code searching.

Additional benefits are:

  • Heavy promotion of Sisters in Crime participation in Authors for Libraries
  • A webinar for librarians about using authors for programs with a Sisters in Crime panelist
  • A webinar for authors about contacting libraries for programs
  • Promotion of Sisters in Crime’s $1,000 We Love Libraries
  • Panel representation at American Library Association Annual Conference in Chicago in June 2017
